Privacy Policy

heyonboard LLC

Effective date: Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how heyonboard (“heyonboard,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit www.heyonboard.co (the “Site”), submit a form (including LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms), request a Revenue Leak Audit, book a call, or otherwise interact with our marketing and sales activities.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers information about our website visitors, leads, and business contacts. It does not cover personal information we process on behalf of our clients in the course of providing our services — see Section 8 for how that data is handled.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form on our Site or on LinkedIn, request an audit, book a meeting, or communicate with us, we may collect your name, work email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any information you include in your responses or messages (for example, details about your brand’s order volume or revenue model).

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and general location. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag and similar advertising and analytics tags, which collect information about your visit and interactions with our Site.

Information from third parties. When you submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form, LinkedIn provides us the information in that form (such as your name, work email, job title, and company) along with your responses to any custom questions. We may also receive limited information from analytics providers, scheduling tools, and publicly available business sources.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and deliver requested materials, such as the Revenue Leak Audit
  • Schedule and conduct calls and provide our services
  • Send marketing and sales communications about our services (you can opt out at any time — see Section 10)
  • Operate, analyze, and improve our Site and marketing campaigns, including measuring ad performance
  • Advertise our services, including showing you ads on platforms such as LinkedIn (including retargeting)
  • Maintain the security of our Site and systems, and comply with legal obligations

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential — required for the Site to function
  • Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site
  • Advertising — used by us and partners such as LinkedIn to measure campaigns and show you relevant ads on other platforms

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). To opt out of LinkedIn’s use of your data for advertising, you can also adjust your LinkedIn ad settings.

5. How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Service providers that support our business, such as CRM and marketing platforms, email and scheduling tools, analytics providers, and website hosting — in each case only as needed to perform services for us
  • Advertising partners, such as LinkedIn, in connection with measuring and delivering our ads
  • Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) as needed
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising cookies and tags may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising or “targeted advertising” under some state privacy laws. You can opt out as described in Section 4 and Section 9.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for the duration of our relationship with you or your company, and afterward as required for legal, accounting, or record-keeping purposes. We then delete or de-identify it.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Information we process for clients

heyonboard provides revenue-recovery services to consumer brands. In doing so, we process information about our clients’ customers (for example, contact details related to a declined payment or abandoned order) on behalf of and at the direction of our clients, under our agreements with them. If you are a customer of one of our clients and have questions about how your information is handled, please refer to that brand’s privacy policy or contact the brand directly. If you contact us, we will route your request to the relevant client where appropriate.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the rights to:

  • Know / access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

California residents: You may exercise these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA). We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, including the right to appeal a declined request.

EEA/UK visitors: If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are consent, performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in marketing and operating our business.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@heyonboard.co. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.

10. Marketing communications

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us at info@heyonboard.co. We may still send you non-promotional messages related to an active business relationship.

11. Children’s privacy

Our Site and services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. International visitors

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by additional notice.
